After a succesfull start (2007) the 4th Leiden Chess Tournament is being organized.
The organization is in hands of the Stichting Denksportpromotie Nederland, a foundation for mindsports.
The tournament is sponsored by donations to the foundation (about 10 sponsors).
The tournament will take place in the Leiden Denksportcentrum, from
July 8 - July 18 2010.
The opening for LCT 2010 will take place in Leiden on July 8th.
The schedule is Swiss nine rounds, according to FIDE rules (two bye's possible in the first six rounds).
For both groups A and B KNSB rating points and obtained FIDE ratings will be forwarded to the FIDE organization.
The total amount (prizes) will later be announced (at minimum of 120 players),
first prices will be: A-group 1750 euro and B-groep 500 euro.
Entry fee:
Group A (> 1850 ELO) and group B (< 1900 ELO): € 45
FIDE titles with a rating over 2350: no fee
Moves according to FIDE schedule.
